Dorney 2017 – Duathletes & Triathletes raise £5,000

Wow, what a day of triumphs and friendship!!

This years event saw nine ladies compete in various events, all to raise funds for Flat Friends UK. Five of those ladies are members of Flat Friends and four were friends or family who entered to support us.

Angie Bradford and I competed in the Duathlon, a 5km run, 22km bike ride and 2.5km run. Both first timers, we finished in good times!

Sue Lomasney and her friend Lorraine took part in the Novice Triathlon, finished well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Zoe Bell and her daughter Amy, entered the First Timer Triathlon and came over the line with huge smiles on their faces.

Roz White and her friends Vicki and Isabel were competing in the Super Sprint Triathlon. Roz and Isabel smashed their times from last year. It was Vicki’s first event, but with such amazing success we hope she will be back for more!

One of our ladies, Charlie Eades was unable to make it for personal reasons, but she still raised funds for us.

We had a fabulous visit from our Patron, the actress Lindsey Coulson, who donned one of our T Shirts and got into the spirit of Team FFUK. Work allowing, Lindsey is hoping to compete with us next year!!
